The house in Alamos is nearly complete, we have installed the doors and windows with the exception of the front door which is being made. It's entirely different from my construction experience in the states where everything is available in standard sizes and one makes the openings to match. Here, one makes the opening as you like and then the corresponding window or door is made to match - something that would be cost prohibitive in the US.
Beginning after the first of the year, I'll be spending more time back in the states than I have been, commuting to Alamos as needed. The house in Florida will continue to be my US place of residence, although I will spend some time in Tucson as well.
